Ginsters are famous for their Cornish pasties, the ones with meat, so this is a bit different for them to make. It has won awards though, and cannot be described as new anymore, so something must have gone right.
The pastry is pastry, nothing wrong with it but not earth shattering either. The filling however, is unique indeed.
From biting in you are hit instantly with a mouth full of spice, veg and fruit. It works very well. The harissa is there, and while strong not over powering, allowing the other ingredients to contribute.
You can see how colourful the ingredients are, which is a delight in itself, but it is the taste that stands out. Ginsters have done well, and for a mass produced pasty, its quite surprising as well. Ideal for lunch while out or at work.
