Quorn Picnic Eggs Review

Vegetarians do not really have a great deal of choice in the big shops for scotch eggs. There are veggie ones from smaller manufactures (many of which are excellent), but really its these or none. Holland and Barratt used to sell a large one, but no more.

These are obviously mini picnic eggs, Quorn does not make a larger version. They are great for sharing then, and while marketed as picnic eggs, equally ideal for lunch boxes or as a finger food for social events.

To eat there are no complaints. While trying to mimic meat ones, and not offering a unique taste experience in the process, they are nice. To this tester they are not too dry, and do not crumble too much.

The egg in the middle is not overpowered, and can be tasted. Its worth noting the eggs used are free range, and this product is vegetarian society approved.

These are a good product, which are ideal for vegetarian picnics.
