Waitrose Mushroom and Chestnut Burgers Review

Some items have reviews written by others and you do think, what are they thinking? In the case of these I was thinking just that, as I think these are superb.

Important to note is that these are vegetarian, not vegan owing to egg in the ingredients list, though it is noted they are free range.

They come in a box without any plastic, which is excellent, and are found in freezers. They cook very easily in the oven.

I think they taste great, a perfect winter burger. I know I'm not the only one of this opinion. With a bit of mayonnaise and spinach in a roll, these ae very nice indeed, which are low in saturated fat too.

They have a soft texture which is easy to bite through, and the blend of mushrooms and chestnuts is spot on. They do not taste like a mushroom that has been processed into a burger shape. Likely this is because there are five different types of mushroom in the ingredients list, among other things, all of which you'll thankfully recognise.

Easy to recommend to vegetarians or those wanting to avoid meat.
