Best ideas for a Vegan Barbeque

Its time for BBQs to be uncovered, charcoal to be bought and friends invited round. So read on for the best ideas for a vegan BBQ.

Bread Rolls

Necessary for any BBQ. Personally I prefer brown, but white is more universally liked and these bap rolls from Tesco are ideal due to their larger size, making filling the roll easier. With bread always check the ingredients list and manufacturing environment for allergies, but it is easy to find vegan options.

Sauces

It has to be Heinz, no? Fairly recently they released their vegan mayonnaise, which has been gathering excellent reviews and we think you should buy. Their Ketchup is already vegan, so just buy that too. Some good news on these, Heinz has announced that production of their sauces will be moving back to the UK.

Sausages

For those putting vegan sausages on the BBQ, there a wealth of options, so here are some of our recommendations:

Richmond Meat-Free sausages are the ones to buy if buying a meat replacement. A full review can be found by clicking here, but in short they are likely to be a favourite among everyone.

If you want to be a bit adventurous, and try some different sausages made to taste unique, Heck's Vegfurters are a good bet; they have a great flavour and are a popular choice.

Burgers

A staple of any BBQ, with many options available. Linda McCartney do a vegan Quarter Pounder which tastes nice, easy to cook and a good size, it'll help fill people up.

For something a bit left field, try Good Life's Nut Burgers. The nuts compliment the smoky flavour of a BBQ, and offer something a bit different from the norm.
