Birds Eye has been growing it's vegan range for a while now, and this is one of their latest offerings. All their products are frozen, and some, including these, unfortunately come in widely un-recyclable bags.
First impressions are that these are good value, you do get a lot in a bag. Also, the main ingredient is chickpeas, so they're not terrible for you.
They are a versatile as falafel are of course. Eat them in wraps, individually, or with a salad. They are small enough to leave whole but I'd recommend cutting them up so they go further.
The flavour is where they are lacking. They are not horrible, not at all, but they aren't as interesting as other falafel available. That said, for the money asked, more shouldn't be expected.
A good effort from Birds Eye, and not so bad when eaten with other things to add flavour.
