Morrisons No Cheese and Pickle Ploughman's Sandwich

Updated: May 24, 2021

When out and about it is sometimes easier to buy food while out. Until fairly recently, this has not always been easy for vegans, and if busy difficult for vegetarians also. Fortunately, this is starting to change, and this sandwich is proof.

Available as part of Morrison's meal deal, this No Cheese and Pickle Ploughman's is an enticing option for those looking to avoid animal products.

The cheese alternative is a coconut oil based alternative to Gouda Cheese, and is this that can smelt immediately when the box is opened owing to its strong smoky smell. It tastes smoky too, and is genuinely an alternative to all the sandwiches on the shelf, as its different from the others. It is smoky in flavour, and quite nice.

It does not override all the other flavours however, which is good. You can still taste the pickle, vegan mayonnaise and lettuce. For a lunch out of a box it really is not bad. The malted bread choice is the right one, for white won't have been as pleasant. This is a good effort from Morrisons.
