Quorn Crispy Fillets Review

Updated: Jun 2, 2021

Quorn make a variety of products from their 'chicken's substitute, most if which do bear some kind of resemblance, as would be expected. They even make a range of fillets, besides their plain fillets.

There is no reason of course why you could not buy the standard fillets and then add ingredients to your taste. In fact I recommend you try this.

If you're short of time however, or are not too confident working with batter, then these are worth trying.

As said elsewhere on this site, this reviewer cannot compare to meat on account of having never tried it, so no comparisons will be made. The upside of course is that the review has no preconceptions of what a fillet 'should taste like.

These are easy to cook in the oven, and the battery is not oily. The size is good and the taste in line with similar products in the Quorn range. The 'meat' is not that flavoursome, but then they are a great accompaniment to other parts of a dish.

They work well in a sandwich or roll, with lettuce or spinach and can also be eaten with a salad or a rice dish. The crispy outside makes these more interesting, but overall they need to be eaten with something to be enjoyed. Worth a try then.
