Available fresh or frozen, (and different pack sizes) these vegetarian sausages have been around for years. They have stood the test of time, so you can imagine the outcome of this review.
Made of mycoprotein, they are not a vegetable medley as some others are.
The texture changes slightly depending on how you cook them, but in general they are soft, and what you would expect of a sausage.
The taste is unique to Quorn, and is fine. Not the flavoursome products of other brands, but okay they do not taste peppery or salty. They are not at all dry either.
Personally, I prefer Linda McCartney's onion sausages, which are more suited to an evening meal. These Quorn ones however taste right as breakfast sausages, and its for this I think they are best suited.
They have been for sale for years, so plenty of people do like them. Worth trying if you are after a meat-free sausage, just remember these are vegetarian, not vegan.
