VBites Cheatin Ham Slices Review

High in protein and free of animal products too, these appear to be ideal for vegan sandwiches.

VBites is one of the earlier vegan food producers, having started in 1993. Their products have therefore been around a while, and gone through different retailers as they pick up and drop products.

They come in circles which are not ridiculously thin, and fulfill their intended purpose. To make them go further still, you can tear them up and put the pieces in the sandwich. They do tear easily by hand.

Also, these are palm oil free, hurrah. They taste fine too. In a sandwich with a bit of pickle these are quite good. The texture is a bit spongy compared to a Quorn product, and the flavour is one I feel needs to be eaten with pickle or something, but as long as they are eaten with something, these are not too bad. Great for a meat-free lunch.
