Vivera Plant Meatballs Review

Updated: May 24, 2021

Vivera may have only appeared on a large scale in UK shops recently, but they have existed since the 1990s. The Dutch company have a range of products, including their vegan meatballs tested here.

Their size and appearance is certainly that of a meatball. Can be fried, barbequed or microwaved, this tester tried them cooked in the oven.

The taste differed from other veggie balls on the market, which is good. You can certainly tell they have been seasoned from the taste. They are also firm, with a chewiness to the texture.

In a crowded market these vegan balls do at least taste different from the others. Made mostly from soya, they are also high in protein. Could easily be served with pasta or in a sandwich or wrap, they have the versatility to be used multiple ways.

A credible alternative meatball, suitable for vegans and packed with protein.
